The Vanuatu Investment Migration Bureau (VIMB) is the Vanuatu-Government-designated organization under the Development Support Program, "DSP", of the Citizenship Commission of the Government of the Republic of Vanuatu.
It is exactly what its (self-explanatory) name spells out. "Investment Migration" refers to Migration i.e., Changing one's domicile and Nationality, by way of making an Investment to do so, i.e., incurring a payment obligation. Another term used to refer to this is "Golden Visa" programs. |
The DSP (Development Support Program) of the Citizenship Commission of the Government of the Republic of Vanuatu is a program allowing INVESTORS to acquire Vanuatuan citizenship and passport, by investment into Donation Targets / Investment Vehicles specified by the Government of Vanuatu. (These targets / vehicles obviously benefit the nation of Vanuatu and its economic development.)
| There have been prior programs (CCP, VERP). However, the current DSP (Development Support Program) was launched on 2017-01-(Jan)-01-Sun, replacing / superceding all others. |
The Vanuatu government uses this "Citizenship By Investment" program, DSP, as a major source of revenue, and also to instigate investments coming into the country, and hopefully also international business visitors and tourists. |
